What to Expect
Join us for Move, Feel, and Dance – A Gentle Therapeutic Dance Session, a free community event!
This session focuses on simple, mindful movement so that everyone can participate comfortably, even without any dance experience.
We will begin with a short creative activity called “Where Do I Feel?”, where participants gently explore how emotions such as sadness, happiness, anger, or love are experienced in the body by colouring a body outline . This helps build awareness of the connection between emotions and physical sensations.
From there, the session will gradually move into gentle stretching, basic therapeutic movement, and a short guided dance. All activities are slow, simple, and easy to follow.
Session structure (approx.):
• 20 minutes – Creative reflection activity (“Where Do I Feel?”)
• 10 minutes – Gentle stretching and body awareness
• 15 minutes – Basic therapeutic movement
• 15 minutes – Simple guided dance
The aim is to create a relaxed, welcoming space where people can connect with their bodies, emotions, and movement in a supportive community environment.
No dance experience is needed. E
veryone is welcome.
