About TAKE TIME – Dance for Joy

About TAKE TIME- Dance for Joy

Reconnect. Move. Create. Belong.

TAKE TIME – Dance for Joy is a six-week community wellbeing programme that combines Dance Movement Therapy, Creative Arts, and Zen mindfulness in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

The programme is designed to support emotional wellbeing through gentle movement, creativity, mindfulness, and meaningful community connection. No dance experience is required—everyone is welcome.

What makes TAKE TIME different?

Rather than learning dance routines, participants are invited to explore movement as a way of listening to their bodies, expressing emotions, reducing stress, and reconnecting with themselves and others.

Every session offers a safe, trauma-informed space where there is no right or wrong way to move.

What happens during each session?

Each 90-minute session includes:

  • Gentle Dance Movement Therapy

  • Creative Arts activities

  • Zen mindfulness and breathing practices

  • Guided relaxation

  • Reflection and group sharing

  • Time for connection over tea

Sessions encourage creativity, confidence, self-expression, and joyful movement while supporting emotional wellbeing.
